Thanks, John : I think the new style Apexi filter element is the expensive glass-fiber type used in NASCAR racing, etc. I have the Apexi intake, and it appears more durable than foam (less likely to breakup with age or heat), and less likely to soak up water vs foam. If you are looking for a dry type element, I think Apexi is the way to go (as for Blitz, read my post above).
